Outlines Festival Preview

We’re less than two weeks away from the brilliant looking Outlines Festival. It’ll be our first full-on weekend festival of the year and we can’t wait. But what does Sheffield have in store for us?

First on our radar is a handful of Wakefield bands – Mi Mye and One Day, After School will both perform over the weekend, the latter as part of a great line-up at The Harley alongside The Wytches, Post War Glamour Girls and Living Body.

Elsewhere, there are old friends from our own Long Division festival, including Slow Club, The Membranes, Boxed In, Fear Of Men and Islet. There are other great bands we are fans of, including the brilliant Cowtown, Novella and Hookworms. Our February update of our regular playlist had a distinct Outlines bias, if you want to get a taste of what is happening and the full lineup can be found here.

But, of course, the excitement is also in finding something new. Now the full timetable is online, you can (if you are like us) start planning in the gaps between the must see and start thinking who sounds like they are worth a punt.

We love the exploratory nature of festivals like Outlines. And we love Sheffield too, but it is a place we don’t get to visit enough. Even though it’s only 40 minutes down the road, trains home and infrequent and taxis expensive. But with Outlines being such good value, we’ve splashed out on a city centre hotel and can’t wait to explore.

Tickets are tiered and it will cost more on the day, so grab one early from here, and we’ll see you there.
